Newly Diagnosed: Your First Steps with Type 1 Diabetes is a supportive programme designed for adults and parents of children who are new to type 1 diabetes. The programme will provide clarity, confidence, and practical tools during the first steps of living with type 1 diabetes. As your coach, I will guide you through the early days so you and your family can feel empowered, informed, and supported. Who's it for: Adults who have recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes Parents of children who are newly diagnosed What You’ll Get: 3 x 30-Minute Personalised Sessions: Practical guidance, coaching on diabetes goals, and confidence to manage diabetes day-to-day Welcome Pack: A collection of trusted resources, helpful guides, and a diabetes-friendly snack list Resource Folder: Downloadable materials for easy reference anytime Kid-Friendly Support: Fun phone screensavers for children to make managing diabetes a little brighter Follow-Up Support: Check-ins between sessions to keep you on track Recap Report: Personalised summary of your sessions, next steps, and optional ongoing support Take your first steps with confidence—support is just a session away.
Cancellation Policy
Your coaching sessing will include one 30 minute virtual sessions, progress discussions, follow-up communication via phone or email, and access to supporting materials. As your Coach, I respect your time, ensuring sessions end promptly after the scheduled session time length, and if you need to cancel or reschedule, kindly provide 24 hours' notice. I will also ensure your confidentiality of any information discussed during our sessions together. If you cancel within 6 hours of your appointment, a €5 fee will apply unless an emergency prevents attendance. IIf the Coach needs to cancel, the Client will be notified in a timely manner to reschedule their appointment. Please note that the Health Coach does not prescribe medications, assess nutrient levels, or provide medical/nutrition therapy. Instead, the Coach mentors you in achieving health goals through positive lifestyle changes. The Coach's support is a complementary to your therapy, not a replacement for medical advice, and please consult your healthcare professionals for medication or nutrition inquiries. You embrace full responsibility for your well-being, (as well as family if applicable) including decisions made during and after the programme. This releases the coach from any responsibility, except in cases of serious negligence, related to your involvement in the consultation or programme. If a disagreement arises between you and the Coach, we'll work together with an independent party to find a solution.
